Leather
Fire Buckets were once commonly used throughout Europe and North America
to fight fires. They were lighter than wooden buckets for passing in
bucket brigades. In general, buckets were either lined with pitch or
painted to waterproof the leather. This bucket is a hand-stitched reproduction of a 19th Century British Commissariat Fire Bucket. The original artifact is in the collection of the Huronia Historical Parks, Penetanguishene, Ontario. 11"
high including handle when folded down. Price: $395.00 CAD BUY NOW
